Plato Capital is an investment group based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, focused on building and growing businesses from the ground up. We leverage on our industry experience and ecosystem of the wider group to achieve synergistic benefits and maximise the potential of our investments.
Our portfolio encompasses two main sectors:
- Hospitality and Travel, and
- Education
with select investments undertaken outside these core areas on an opportunistic basis.
Our Portfolio
EDUC8 Group
The EDUC8 Group seeks opportunities in K-12 education throughout South East Asia. Its flagship 50-acre Epsom College in Malaysia campus in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur is developed in partnership with leading UK boarding school Epsom College. Epsom College also holds the right to develop and operate branded schools outside the UK and has partnered with the Real Madrid Foundation to establish a soccer academy in Kuala Lumpur.
Ormond Group
Plato's investments in hospitality started with Tune Plato Real Estate in 2009. Deploying RM 300m in capital on a portfolio of >1,000 rooms globally. In 2017, Ormond Group was established as the hospitality company that will own, develop and manage all assets, including Ormond Hotels—a boutique luxury hotel brand that marries tradition with modernity, offering authentic experiences in cities around the world.
Tune Hotels
Tune is for travellers who want comfort, functionality and fun without the stuffy extras. Our network of hotels links up city centres and airports across the world, offering warm service, minimalist rooms and vibrant spaces.
ECM Libra Group
A Kuala Lumpur headquartered investment company with core holdings in the hospitality and education sectors. Listed on Bursa Malaysia, the company has its origins in financial services and was previously one of Malaysia's leading investment banks.

We are looking for self-starters, problem solvers and independent learners. At Plato, analysts and top management work side by side on all initiatives. Our team evaluates prospective investments and is also actively involved with operations and management of our portfolio of companies.
